Dr. Richard Amesquita is a General Practice DO, graduated from WVSOM in 2007 at the age of 50, the oldest to graduate ever from that Medical School in it's history up to that point. I started my medical training as an EMT, Paramedic, USAF Independent Duty Medical Technician, RN, PA and that's why I became a DO at age 50.
I'm married to my loving wife Lori of 28 years, have two grown children, 7 grandchildren and one cat. Currently live in Poplar Bluff, MO. and the main area I serve is Scott City.
I'm ex-military, got out of the Air Force to go to PA school in SLC, UT. and graduated in 1996. I have 44 years expirence in pre-hospital, ER, Urgent Care, primary care and hospitalist work starting from a basic EMT to DO.
My last position was as an Urgent Care Medical Director and I had a small Direct Primary Care private practice in CO in which I made house/ranch calls, had office visits, and telemedicine.
I am honored to serve those who would otherwise have no medical care, and plan to be here for a long time.
