Dr. Main is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with 24 years of experience and over 25,000 procedures performed. He specializes in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgeries, opioid-sparing outpatient joint replacements, and Worker’s Compensation injuries. Trusted by large manufacturing companies for his expertise, Dr. Main also has extensive experience in regenerative medicine.
Growing up in a farming community in rural Missouri, Dr. Main learned the value of hard work from his parents. He excelled in athletics as a nationally ranked decathlete and achieved Eagle Scout status. He attended Northeast MO State University (Truman State) and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. His residency training was completed at Des Peres Hospital and St. Louis University Hospital.
Desiring to bring specialty orthopedic care back to his hometown, Dr. Main founded Midwest Bone and Joint Center, P.C. and The Center for Surgical Specialties, P.C., with multiple offices across Missouri. In 2023, he became the Director of Orthopedics for American Medical Administrators.
Dr. Main has published several research articles in orthopedics and regenerative medicine. He has served as a team physician for high schools and Division II and NAIA universities and as a board examiner for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. He enjoys sporting events with the Mizzou Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues.
